History
In 1984 two partners established MDS. In addition to assembly activities and repairs, MDS also offered specialised personnel for these activities.Two years later the company was renamed Matreco – Maes Tremelo and Co. Operations were expanded with assembly and adjustment activities in the milling industry as well as the cleaning and disinfecting of mill silos. In 1992 Matreco was officially recognised as stevedore in the outport of Brussels.
Matreco Transport was established in 1997. The other activities were divided amongst the affiliated companies Millservice and Foma. Matreco provides general national transport with standard lorries, trailers, bulk tanks for foodstuffs, and tipping hoppers fors and and gravel.
MMT was founded in 2002, packaging of sand and gravel and the sale of these items to merchants and contractors.
On 1 October 2005 Matreco moved into a new industrial building in the Industrial Zone of Kruineike and Margaux Invest was established. The affiliated companies were also housed here.
